We Want to Help Persons Discover and Develop a Deeper Faith

The leadership of St. Paul AME Church encourages everyone we reach and touch as members of our society to deepen their Faith through involvement in various ministry programs and activities.

So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

The Word of God teaches us how to empower persons to become true Disciples of Jesus Christ. Our mission is to reach, preach and teach persons how to use the gifts and talents God most graciously gives each of us to advance His Kingdom hear on earth. There are several ways for persons to deepen their Faith as they involve themselves in various areas of our ministry. We emphasize the importance of Worship, Study and Service as key demonstrations of Faith. Ministry opportunities for persons to grow their faith include:

Serve in Church

Worship & Arts

Bring your voice or talent to our music ministry as a choir member, soloist, musician, poet, dancer, etc. Elevating spiritual experiences through creative expressions, blending faith and artistry to foster connection and unite our community.

Greeter/ Usher

Welcome and direct attendees for inperson worship. Ensure an enjoyable experience for all attendees with care and hospitality by assisting with seating, information, and support..

Steward Board

Support worship experience with altar, sacramental and liturgical services and adornments.

Teach/Facilitate

Use your gifts, knowledge and talents to help others study and learn new skills.

Online Host & Prayer

Virtual space for engaging interactions and uplifting prayers, offering a strong sense of community and deepening spiritual connections.

Hospitality Ministry

Join a group of servants dedicated to helping with multiple hospitality tasks during church socials and community gatherings.

Addressing Food Insecurity

Essential nourishment to families in need, ensuring access to nutritious meals and fostering community support during challenging times.

Housing and Homelessness

Provide racial equity resources, data toolkits, and research reports that relate to identifying disparities and implementing responses to address the overrepresentation of people of color in the homeless system.

Prison Reentry

We help men and women replace the cycle of brokenness that landed them in prison as we advocate for justice reform and work with grassroots networks to do the same.

Family Strengthening

We plan to expand ministry resources to develop a viable ministry that ministers practically and effectively to new and established families.

Health and Wellness

African Americans disproportionately bear the burden of chronic diseases in the United States, including conditions such as diabetes, high cholesterol, hypertension, and chronic kidney disease. Join us as we provide free health screenings and workshops to our community.

Social Action

Empowering individuals to create positive change through community engagement and meaningful initiatives, fostering a more equitable and compassionate society.
